In today's busy world, many of us don't get the chance to visit our native places often. However, these places hold a lot of memories and emotions for us. Personally, I have a strong attachment to my native village, where I spent a wonderful childhood.
Whenever I can, I make sure to go back there to relive those cherished moments and stay connected to my roots. My native place is KANDUR, located in Mahbubnagar district. Today, I want to share the true essence of my village and my personal experiences there.
Native Place: Location, Memories, Bond and History
Exploring Native Place: Location details and Hidden Gems
KANDUR is located in the Addakal Mandal, Mahbubnagar district. The village arch is beside the highway. From that arch , we need to take an auto , and it will take 10 minutes to go inside the village. There is only one bus for that village , which goes directly to the village. Otherwise, we should drop at that arch and take another auto from there. It's a really beautiful place to visit.
Emotional bond with our Native Place
Our native place holds a deep emotional bond for us. It's where our earliest memories are formed. Moreover, our native place isn't just a location. It's a cherished part of our personal history and a place of lasting emotional significance. The sights, sounds, and scents of our village or town stir deep feelings of nostalgia and a strong sense of belonging.
Childhood Memories in my Native Place
The memories of my childhood in my native place are a treasure trove of joy and innocence. When I was young, I often visited a shop near my grandmother's house. They had these lottery tickets that I loved scratching, hoping to win a toy or a treat. So every time I went to the shop , I would do these things.
I would always go to the shop and buy whatever I wanted, and if they asked for money , I would tell them my grandmother 's name and say that she would pay for everything. They would keep a book to write down how much money I was spending , and later they would collect it from my grandmother. We also had some buffaloes , and there was a tree in front of our house where we would tie them.
No matter where we go or where we are, we never forget the essence of our native place. It has a special charm, devoid of pollution and electronic distractions. Engaging in outdoor play with children and conversing under the open sky—these simple joys truly leave a lasting impression.
Furthermore, the scent of our villages is truly unforgettable. Ultimately, for everyone, childhood memories and emotional connections with their village are irreplaceable.
Must visit place in my Native Place
The Ramalingeshwara Temple is located in Kandur, amidst the beautiful landscapes of Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, India. In the Ramalingeshwara Temple, there is a powerful Lord Shivalinga worshipped by devotees. Its serene surroundings offer a peaceful atmosphere for visitors to enjoy both spiritual worship and the beauty of nature.
History behind the Temple
The Ramalingeshwara Temple in Kandur has a rich history dating back to the Chalukya dynasty, possibly built several centuries ago. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has served as a center of religious worship and cultural heritage in the region.
There was a pregnant woman who had a deep devotion to Lord Shiva and visited the temple every day, which is located on the top of the mountain. The temple was small, with one at the base and another at the summit. Access was challenging, with no defined path, making it difficult for most to climb. Despite this, she faithfully ascended daily to light the lamp at the temple.
As her pregnancy progressed, she struggled to make the journey. She prayed to Lord Shiva for help, who promised to descend to the lower temple for her convenience but warned her not to look back on her way down. Unfortunately, she heard a chariot approaching and turned to look, instantly turning into a statue.
Legend says her statue remains at the spot where she looked back, but the exact location atop the mountain remains unknown and inaccessible. This story was passed down to me by my father.
There was a Kalpavriksha tree near the temple where people believed their wishes would come true if they sat beneath it and made their desires known.
